What is kids yoga?
Kids yoga is fun, playful and noisy - it has to be in order to engage their attention. Yoga is a very joyful form of exercise for kids. It builds confidence, strength, and self-awareness. There are many stressors in our modern world for children and they can quickly become self-critical and anxious. Yoga gives them a break from all of this - a space to move, breathe, and just be themselves. In our classes, there’s no judgment or competition. Kids don’t have to do a pose perfectly - what matters is how it feels. With stories, songs, and games woven in, yoga becomes playful and engaging, helping children develop focus, balance, flexibility, and a deeper connection to their bodies. Most importantly, yoga teaches kids to listen, both to themselves and to others. That inner awareness helps them feel more grounded and make thoughtful choices, both on and off the mat.
